Art Show at the Library! (Musicians wanted too!)
We will be holding an art show the last week in June featuring local artists from the Hudson area. You are invited to submit a piece for the show! You art will be displayed all week, and there will be a closing reception Friday June 28th from 4-6. Do you play an instrument? Local musicians are invited to play during the closing reception. If you are interested in playing during the closing reception please contact Library Director Maria Ford at mariafhpl@yahoo.com The deadline for requesting to submit artwork will be June 10th, and you will be asked to drop off your artwork during library hours on June 17-20th. More details as the date gets closer! Spring Story Time
Prekindergarten children ages 3-5 are invited to the library to participate in stories, finger plays, song and art activities during the six-week session of Spring Story Time. The six-week session begins April 4/5 and ends May 9/10. Please register for either Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 7:00 OR Friday mornings from 10:30 – 11:00 by clicking HERE. Parents/Guardians must remain in the building during the Story Time sessions. Researching your family’s history? The Hudson History Room is a great place to start. Look for folks who were buried here in town, and/or start your genealogical research, by checking our list of obituaries available in the History Room. Obituary information comes solely from obituaries filed at the Hudson Area Public Library District’s History Room. The full obituaries are located at the Hudson History Room. All places named within the obituaries are located in Illinois unless otherwise noted. Copies are available at the library for ten cents a page OR by mail for a flat five dollar fee.
